2010 Waikiki Offshore Series Scheduled for July 24 & 25, 2010

Honolulu, Hawaii-The Waikiki Yacht Club announced the 2010 Waikiki Offshore Series would take place on July 24 and 25, 2010. The format is scaled back to a two-day event in even years and expanded in odd years to accommodate Transpac boats wishing to stay and play in Hawaii.

The event has been won by visiting Transpac boats in 2005 by Philippe Kahn’s Transpac 52 Pegasus and in 2007 by John Kilroy’s Transpac 52 Samba Pa Ti. John Siegel's Wylie 42 Scorpio won the inaugural event after sailing to Hawaii in the 2004 Pacific Cup. Doug Taylor's X35 Zamboni won in 2006 and John Spadaro's Bashford 41 Boomerang won the 2008 and 2009 events.

The Waikiki Offshore Series offers the best Trade wind sailing in the world according to everyone who has participated in this event.
