FujiSankei Business i Waikiki Offshore Series For Immediate Release Day Two
Honolulu, Hi. U.S.A. The Waikiki Yacht Club ran three windward leeward races today of the 2009 FujiSanke Business i Waikiki Offshore Series. Starting off the Kahala Hotel in 10 -17 kts the boats beat and surfed between the Kokohead and Diamond Head marks. Using a mid course start, the 2.5 mile legs challenged the sailors on every boat for 25 miles of trade wind sailing.
Standing for the windward leeward races in ORR are: Gil Budar's Gerontius 7, John Spadaro's Boomerang 9, James McDowell's Heartbeat 11, Todd Wyrick's Fins 11, Gary Fanger's Tabasco 12, Scott Bradley's Cazan 16, Rick Value's Demasiada 18. Scoring on PHRF has Scott Bradley and Gary Fanger swapping above position and the rest of the fleet the same. With four races completed the corrected standing overall in ORR are: John Spadaro's Boomerang 9, Gil Budar's Gerontius 10, Scott Bradley's Cazan 11 and Gary Fanger's Tabasco 11. In PHRF Gil Budar leads with 8, John Spadaro and Scott Bradley are tied at 10 and Tabasco has 13. Sunday is the final three windward leeward races off the Kahala coast with the awards presentation starting at 1800 at the Waikiki Yacht Club.
