Format Change for The 2009 Waikiki Offshore Series

Honolulu, Hi. U.S.A. The original five-day eight-race format is changed to a three-day seven-race race series eliminating the Molokai Race. Based on requests for a shorter program race officials have changed the 2009 format. “We want to create a series that meets the needs of our competitors. A three day Seven-race series will allow our local boats to compete and gives our visiting yachts a challenging regatta and time to spend with their families and friends in Hawaii,” said regatta chair Steve Thomas.
